Bella Poarch was born in the Philippines on February 9, 1997 to her natural Filipino parents. Her grandmother lived in the areas of slums for three years until she turned 3 years old, when she was adopted. The family she adopted is by one Filipino adoptive mother and an white American soldier. She says she and her adopted brother were subjected to abuse since she was a child up until the time she enlisted. She and her family moved to Texas at the age of thirteen because her father was undergoing bypass surgery. The family spent a couple of months there in San Francisco with her aunt. The physical assault subsided but she still dealt with her father's mental abuse in the home. After turning 18 she joined the United States Navy. Poarch started her TikTok in April of 2020 rapidly gaining fame. Poarch accumulated over 40 million followers within less than 8 months. She posted a number of videos. Her biggest hit is a music video featuring MillieB's famous song Soph Aspin Send. It became one of TikTok's most viewed videos. The video zoomed in on her jumping rhythmically as well as lip-syncing with the tune went viral. She started her YouTube as well as Twitter accounts during the time after signing up to TikTok in order to capitalize on her rising fame. Poarch reached her peak of fame in the month of December. Her burgeoning fame was reported to have drawn two of the biggest professional Esports Teams. FaZe Clan & 100 Thieves both showed interest in hiring the creator of content to work as part of their brand.
